News from The Spinney Brothers

Rain, Sleet & Snow! Oh My!
Being Canadians, you'd think we would be used to all the harsh winters we've had over the years. But, like most of you, we are ready for some sunshine and blue skies! Not only has mother nature wreaked havoc on our travels resulting in spending hours on the interstate and cancelled and rescheduled flights, but it's been forcing us to spend most of our downtime at home, battling it as well. Here's Rick's wife, Machaela, posing with just a sampling of the snow we've been battling in Nova Scotia. Yep - sunshine and blue skies are definitely what we need! That reminds us that we'll be cruising again with Danny Stewart's Bluegrass Cruise in 2016.
You might as well make plans now to join us so we can all escape the winter blues that are sure to hit us next year. Surly you can agree, our wives look much better in Caribbean attire, and you will, too!
Danny Stewart’s Bluegrass Cruise sailing from Port Canaveral, Florida to the Bahamas, January 11-15, 2016! To go cruising, simply

"Another Day From Life" was written by veteran bluegrass wordsmith Bill Castle and tells of the highs and lows that people everywhere face in their everyday lives. The song has already been a favorite among fans and radio programmers alike, having debuted on the National Bluegrass Survey Top 30 Songs chart this month. The band recently performed "Another Day From Life" on the Grand Ole Opry and received a rousing reception from the audience - a clear testament to the song's powerful message.

Mountain Fever Records Releases Debut, Self-titled Album from Adkins & Loudermilk

First Single - "Backside of Losing" - Debuts on Bluegrass Top 20 Songs Chart
Download Adkins & Loudermilk on iTunes.

Mountain Fever Records announces the release of the debut, self-titled album from Adkins & Loudermilk. This highly anticipated project has already produced a chart-making first single with "Backside of Losing."

What started out as two impressive solo careers has morphed into what is already being described as a powerhouse team of vocals and songwriting. Dave Adkins has already had a successful career fronting his former band, Republik Steel, and Edgar Loudermilk has been known as one of the most solid bass-playing vocalists in bluegrass, having toured extensively with the likes of Rhonda Vincent, Marty Raybon and IIIrd Tyme Out. But when Adkins & Loudermilk met a couple years ago and began melding their talents of singing and songwriting together, it became clear to them that forming a new duo was much more musically exciting for them than going it alone. So in 2013, the two officially launched their band and set out touring while still promoting successful solo projects on Mountain Fever Records. Since the band's formal beginning, the duo has been delighting audiences across the country gaining faithful fans who have patiently waited two years for the release of their debut album, appropriately titled Adkins & Loudermilk.

This new album features 12 songs that, by design, give equal due to both men as individual artists, while still shining a spotlight on their collective talents. The balance of Adkins' growling, rock-tinged vocals combined with the bluegrass tenor vocal chops of Loudermilk, will offer listeners ample opportunity to enjoy all aspects of Adkins & LoudermilkThe album kicks off with back to back,  decidedly bluegrass numbers, "Georgia Mountain Man," sung by Loudermilk, and "Cut The Rope" featuring Adkins. With writing credits going to both men throughout, the album also features strong contributions from other writers of note including David Morris, Mark Brinkman and Hoyt Axton, among others. "Backside of Losing," the first single from the album written by Adkins and Mark Brinkman, has already been a hit with radio programmers and fans, making its debut on the Bluegrass Today Top 20 Songs chart. One of the strongest songs and performances from the project is "Weeds," written by David Morris and Chris Dockins, and a winner in this year's "Hazel Dickens Song Contest." From bluegrass to blues, up-tempos to ballads, Adkins & Loudermilk have come out of the gate full force with their debut, self-titled album on Mountain Fever Records.

Adkins & Loudermilk is now available via digital download at iTunes and wherever great music is sold. For more about Adkins & Loudermilk, visit www.adkinsloudermilk.com. For more about Mountain Fever Records, visit www.mountainfever.com.

Joe Mullins & the Radio Ramblers - March News

Another Successful Weekend in Nashville!
We had another wonderful weekend in Nashville, TN performing at the Ernest Tubb Record Shop's Texas Troubadour Theatre and the Grand Ole Opry! Many friends and followers joined us from the southern Ohio and northern Kentucky areas, as well as across the country, and we want to say THANK YOU for your faithful support - it means so much!
Our "Ain't Love Grand" contest winner, Dan Myers and his lovely guest, joined us at the Opry for a quick meet & greet backstage and also for the show. We performed our latest single, "Another Day From Life" and an a cappella version of "Oh The Love Of My Redeemer" - a song we'd never performed on the Opry before. After our appearance, we were immediately greeted offstage by our good friend Ricky Skaggs and the Opry Entertainment Group's President, Steve Buchanan, who both gave us their words of encouragement. Be sure to check out the photos from the entire day on our Facebook page or simply follow this link.
